Sunday 2nd June 2019 - Colorado (Marginal Risk)

After waking up in Amarillo and noting the rivers had subsided we chose SE Colorado today for a 2% Tornado risk in a marginal risk. Upper support was starting to be borderline for Supercells now with 25-35knts of flow. We stopped in Springfield and watched some storms that were quite weak and followed one north until that also died out. Around this time the strongest storm was coming out of New Mexico and almost running the CO/OK/KS border area so we set off south and got in front of the storm near Elkhart. Light was fading at this point so we just about managed to get some decent structure pictures before we let the storm roll into our overnight stay in Guymon. But the storm almost whimpered out when it got to us with only a few gusts of wind and a few anvil crawlers for us all to watch.
